Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).
Butter and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) diameter mold.
Beat the eggs and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the flour and almond powder and mix well.
Add the melted butter and mix well.
Pour half of the preparation into the mold, then arrange half of the plum quarters.
Cover with the rest of the preparation and gently press the remaining plum quarters.
Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour or until a toothpick, inserted into the center of the pound cake, comes out clean.
