1- Preheat the oven to 175C (350F).
2- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, milk, half of the sugar, and vanilla.
3- Brush melted butter on a deep oven dish. Place the slices of bread in the dish.
4- Pour the egg mixture over the slices of bread.
5- Bake for about 20 minutes or until the slices of bread are golden brown.
6- In a saucepan, heat the maple syrup and the remaining sugar. Add the raspberries and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for a few minutes over very low heat.
7- Serve the golden brown bread with the raspberries cooked in maple syrup.
