In the bread machine bucket, put the ingredients in the order suggested by the manufacturer.
Dough program (paste).
Take the paste out of the machine onto a floured work surface and divide it into 12 equal portions.
Flatten each portion by hand to give it the shape of a beaver tail (an oblong shape).
Fry each beaver tail on both sides in a bath of not-too-hot oil (like for any fritters).
Drain on paper towels.
You can enjoy them with your choice of spread (butter, maple butter, Nutella, etc.) or…
In a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon and roll the beaver tails in the mixture, then sprinkle with lemon juice.
