Put a plate in the freezer.
In a large pot, mix all the ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer over medium-low heat for 3 hours 30 to 4 hours, stirring often.
To check the consistency, put a spoonful of milk jam on the cold plate and put it back in the freezer for three minutes. If the consistency is too liquid, continue cooking. If it’s too thick, add a little water.
Remove from heat, pour into airtight containers, and let cool.
Keeps for 1 month in the refrigerator.
