Preheat the oven to 430 F (220 C).
Clean the mushrooms and slice them into strips.
Heat the oil in a pan, then sauté the shallot.
Add the mushroom strips and cook for 5 minutes.
Add the parsley, salt, pepper, and mix well. Set aside.

Cut the cod fillet into 6 pieces and place them in 6 individual ramekins or small gratin dishes.
Cover the fish with the mushroom mixture.

Mix the egg yolks with the heavy cream and turmeric. Season to taste.
Pour the cream mixture over the mushrooms and sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes and serve hot.
