Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).
Chop the chocolate into small pieces and melt it in a bowl over a water bath on low heat.
Cream the butter with the sugar, then add the eggs one by one, mixing carefully.
Add the flour, instant coffee, melted chocolate, and chopped walnuts.

Butter an 8-inch (20 cm) square pan. If you are using a silicone pan, this step is not necessary.
Pour in the mixture, smooth the surface with a spatula, and bake for 20 to 22 minutes.
Let the cake cool slightly before cutting it into squares.
Enjoy warm or cold.
