1. In a small, thick-bottomed saucepan, pour in the balsamic vinegar and add the prune. Bring to a boil and immediately lower the temperature to low.

2. Let reduce until it reaches a thick caramel consistency. Be careful not to burn the caramel.

3. Remove the prune and let cool.

4. Cut the figs from the tip to the base using a small knife. Gently open them outwards to form a flower.

5. Place a spoonful of whipped cream in each cup. Pour in 1 tablespoon of balsamic caramel.

6. Arrange the fig flowers and accompany with cat tongues.
