Sift the flour and put it in a bowl,
Make a well in the middle and add the sugar, yeast, and salt.
Mix well, then incorporate the coconut milk by whisking until you get a smooth dough, not too liquid.
Let it rest for at least 3 hours.

When the dough has risen enough, cut it into 16 or 20 pieces.
Stretch them into small cylinders and shape into 8s.

Heat the frying oil to 180 C (350 F).
When it’s at the right temperature, plunge the dough pieces into it for 5 to 8 minutes.
Turn them over so they’re golden brown on all sides.
Take them out of the oil, drain them on paper towels, and then roll them in sugar.
