Preparation

1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350°F.

2. With the mixer and whisk, mix the sugar and butter until the mixture is white.

3. Then add the eggs, one by one, and the flour a little at a time.

4. Crush the meringue and add it to the mixture, giving one or two strokes of the spoon, no more.

5. Butter and sugar a cake pan.

6. Fill with the mixture and bake for 25 minutes.

7. Remove from the oven, cool on a rack and serve.
