Preparation
Golden Cake:
Preheat the oven to 350 F (180 C).
Butter a pyrex mold of 9 po x 13 po (23 cm x 33 cm) and set aside.
Cream the butter with the sugar, then, when the mixture is well homogeneous, add the eggs one at a time, then the vanilla seeds. Mix well.
Add the flour that has been previously sifted with the baking powder and salt, and mix in alternation with the milk, until a homogeneous texture is obtained.
Pour the preparation into the prepared mold and bake for 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Caramel Sauce with Vanilla:
Heat the milk with the vanilla pod and butter.
In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and flour. Pour the hot milk over the dry ingredients and mix well to avoid lumps.
Put the preparation back in the saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly with a whisk, until it thickens.
Remove the vanilla pod and let it cool before drizzling over the golden cake.
