Preheat the oven to 410 F (210 C).
Peel, wash and chop the leeks.
Melt half of the butter in a pan and cook the leeks for 15 minutes, until they are tender.
Season with salt and pepper.
Melt the remaining butter in a saucepan, add the flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring with a wooden spoon.
Pour in the warm milk without stopping stirring and continue cooking until thickened.
Add the curry, season with salt and pepper.
Put the leek in small gratin dishes.
Arrange slices of toasted baguette on top, pressing them down gently.
Sprinkle with grated cheese.
Bake for 10 minutes.
Serve in the cooking dishes.
