In a large pot, combine the first 9 ingredients.
Cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook for 50 minutes, or until the meat starts to come off the bone.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix the sauce ingredients. Reserve.

Preheat the barbecue to high intensity.
Drain the ribs well and place them on a large plate.
Brush with sauce so that it covers all sides.
Grill the ribs for 12 to 15 minutes, brushing them regularly with the remaining sauce. Turn the meat to brown it evenly.
Cut between the bones to share the ribs.
Serve immediately.
