Preparation
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Cut the pears into dice. In a pan, cook the diced pears in 20g of butter for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. In a large bowl, using an electric whisk, whisk the sugar and butter until they are fluffy.
4. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix after each addition.
5. Add the flour and baking powder, mix gently.
6. Add the caramelized pears and the juice from the pan. Mix.
7. Butter and flour a cake mold. Pour in the cake batter.
8. Bake for 35 minutes.
9. Check the center with the tip of a knife. If the knife comes out clean, remove the cake.
10. Place the cake on a grid and let it cool for 5 minutes before unmolding. Serve warm or cold
