1. Grate the lime zest and squeeze its juice. Cut the smoked salmon into thin strips and drizzle with half of the lime juice. Chop the chives.
2. In a bowl, carefully mix the mascarpone, cream cheese, grated zest, the rest of the lime juice, and the chopped chives.
3. Place the salmon strips in the bottom of 4 small glasses. Cover with the cheese mixture, then with salmon eggs.
4. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving with toasted bread.
