Center the oven rack and preheat the oven to 425 F (205 C)
Prepare the biscuit sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and spices.
Add the brown sugar and mix well to incorporate, making sure there are no lumps. Add the butter with your fingers, mixing to coat with flour, until the mixture has pea-sized pieces.
Add the sweet potatoes, mixing with a fork, and mix until homogeneous.
On a floured surface, roll out the dough and cut out 1/2″ (1 cm) thick shapes with a cookie cutter.
Place them on the prepared sheets and bake for 14 to 18 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and puffed.
