Slice the zucchinis, lengthwise, into very thin slices. Chop the romaine lettuce. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, pink pepper, white pepper, chives, and a pinch of salt.
Place the zucchini slices in a steamer basket over a pot of boiling water. Cover and steam for 1 to 2 minutes.
Gently transfer the zucchini slices to plates. Top with some chopped romaine lettuce and drizzle with the vinaigrette.
Serve with fresh bread.
